Club President Awarded Australia Day Honours

Gosnells Junior Football Club President Brad Thomasz was awarded the 2021 Australia Day Community Citizen of The Year award for his significant contribution to this local Gosnells community. 

These awards reward and recognise individuals for making a notable contribution during the current year, and to those who have given outstanding service over a number of years.

Brad Thomasz was elated to win this award by saying “Footy becomes life, and we do what we do for our kids first and foremost”. Brad is the heart and soul of Gosnells Junior Football Club and is often seen dividing up his time between his many volunteer roles at the club, such as; President, Coach, First Aid, Runner and his favourite role - expert line marker.

The Gosnells Hawks have led the way within the Central Conference for their work in promoting positive game day environments and match day set ups.

Metro Central Regional Development Council’s Demons Junior Club Delegate, Jo Warner said “It was amazing to read the news that Brad received this award, he has done a mountain of work at the club and I’m pleased he’s receiving these type of accolades”

The WAFC and Demons District would also like to congratulate Brad on his award.
